What does the Grand Lodge of India expect of a lodge each year?

Statutory compliance for a lodge operating under the Grand Lodge of India involves several mandatory annual administrative, financial, and reporting obligations.

According to governance rules issued by the Regional Grand Lodge of Northern India, lodges are required to issue meeting summonses and submit an Installation Return immediately following their annual Installation Meeting. Lodges must also maintain ongoing reporting compliance by filing Half-Yearly Returns, Annual Returns where applicable, Past Masters Returns, and Installed Masters Returns.

Financially, each lodge must ensure its annual accounts are audited and approved in open lodge within three months of the end of its accounting year. A copy of these approved accounts must be submitted immediately to the Regional Grand Secretary. Furthermore, lodges are expected to collect and remit annual dues and subscriptions for every member in accordance with the bye-laws established by the Grand Lodge and Regional Grand Lodge.
