What is the process to become a joining member in a Masonic Lodge?

A Brother wishing to join a daughter Lodge must follow these steps:

1. The candidate must be proposed and seconded at a regular meeting of the Lodge.
2. The candidate must be balloted for at the next regular meeting; if this does not occur, the proposal becomes void.
3. Before the ballot, the candidate must present his Grand Lodge Certificate and certificates of good standing from any daughter Lodges he is a member of or has been a member of, confirming that all dues are paid.
4. If accepted, the candidate will then become a member of the daughter Lodge immediately.

Furthermore, they must complete a declaration confirming their adherence to the Book of Constitutions of the Grand Lodge of India, which is to be recorded in the Lodge Minutes. A copy of the constitution must also be provided to the joining Brother.
