Can I join a UGLE lodge if I am already a GLI affiliated Mason?
According to the Constitution of the Grand Lodge of India, if you are a subscribing member of a Lodge under a recognized Grand Lodge, you cannot become a member of a daughter Lodge under the Grand Lodge of India without ceasing membership of the recognized Grand Lodge, as specified in Rule 124A. This rule outlines that a brother shall cease to be a member of all Lodges under the Grand Lodge if he joins or rejoins a Lodge under a recognized Grand Lodge after certain dates.
Furthermore, if you wish to join a UGLE lodge, it is imperative to ensure that your membership with the GLI is appropriately addressed. You would need to petition and have all dues cleared with GLI before proceeding to join another lodge.
