What is the first law of the Constitution?
The first law of the Constitution of the Grand Lodge of Antient, Free & Accepted Masons of India can be summarized from the declaration in the Constitution: "that the Grand Lodge of India is an independent sovereign self-governing Grand Lodge having jurisdiction over all the Lodges in India under its control and is not subject to nor will it divide its authority with any Supreme Council or other Masonic Power howsoever styled;" This establishes the foundational principle of independence and self-governance for the Grand Lodge.
