If you're a brother of a lodge and would like to demit and look for other lodges to join, how would the brother search for the lodges? Can they take help of regional grand lodge?
When a Brother wishes to demit from his current Lodge and seek membership in another Lodge, he must follow specific procedures as outlined in the Constitution. According to Rule 138, a Brother desiring to become a joining or rejoining member of a daughter Lodge must be proposed and seconded at a regular meeting. He must then be balloted for at the next regular meeting, and if elected, he becomes a member of the daughter Lodge immediately.
Furthermore, if the Brother has been initiated in a Lodge not under the Grand Lodge and wishes to join a daughter Lodge under the Grand Lodge, the Secretary of the Lodge must apply to the Regional Grand Secretary to ensure that the Grand Lodge under which the Brother was initiated is recognized by the Grand Lodge before the ballot is taken.
Thus, the Brother can indeed seek assistance from the Regional Grand Lodge during this process, particularly to verify the recognition of his previous Lodge and to facilitate his transition to a new Lodge.
