Is there any eligibility to become a worshipful master?
Yes, according to Rule 87 of the Constitution, every daughter Lodge must elect a Master by ballot from among its members who meet certain eligibility criteria. Specifically, a candidate must be a Past Master within the meaning of Rule 9, or must have served for one year in the office of Senior Warden or Junior Warden in a regular Lodge under the Grand Lodge. Additionally, members can also be rendered eligible by a dispensation under Rule 91.
Furthermore, the election must take place on the day named in its bye-laws for the purpose, and the candidate with the largest number of votes will be elected.
It is important to note that no brother has any right to claim advancement, and the appointment of all Officers except the Master, Treasurer, and Tyler is at the sole discretion of the Master
