What are 2nd degree working tools and what do they mean?
In Freemasonry, the working tools of the Second Degree, known as the Fellowcraft Degree, are the Plumb, Square, and Level. Each of these tools carries significant symbolic meaning:
- Plumb: This tool is used by operative Masons to raise perpendiculars. In a Masonic context, it teaches us to walk uprightly in our various stations before God and man, emphasizing the importance of integrity and rectitude in our conduct.
