What are the duties of a Master after being elected?
Upon being elected, the Master has several important duties to fulfill:
He must solemnly pledge himself to preserve the Landmarks of the Order and to observe the antient usages and established customs, strictly enforcing them within his Lodge (Rule 92).
The Master is responsible for the due observance of the laws by the daughter Lodge over which he presides (Rule 94).
Upon installation, the Master shall appoint his Wardens and other Officers and shall invest all the Officers present, including the Treasurer and Tyler elected (Rule 96).
He must ensure that all members of the Lodge attend the summons and provide any required information to the Grand Master or his representatives (Rule 97).
If the Master is unable to fulfill his duties due to death or removal, the Immediate Past Master or the Wardens are responsible for summoning the Lodge until a new Master is installed (Rule 98).
