Congratulations on submitting your petition! This is a significant step in your journey with Freemasonry. Following your petition, a committee of Masons will likely be appointed to meet with you. This is an opportunity for them to get to know you better and for you to ask any questions you may have. As Albert Pike states in Morals and Dogma, "The candidate is examined as to his qualifications, his motives, and his intentions." If approved by the committee and the Lodge members, you will then be invited to take your Entered Apprentice degree, the first of three symbolic degrees. This degree will introduce you to the fundamental principles and teachings of Freemasonry.
