Which Grand Lodges are not recognized by UGLE?

The United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) does not recognize several Grand Lodges, particularly those that have deviated from its established principles. Specifically, UGLE does not recognize Grand Lodges that have allowed themselves to become mixed up with politics or have ceased to require a belief in a Supreme Being as a necessary qualification for membership. This includes various bodies on the Continent and in some Latin-American countries. UGLE maintains that no Masonic communication may be held with members of such organizations by genuine Masons.

As stated in the document, “Besides these there are other ‘Grand’ bodies, notably on the Continent and in some of the Latin-American countries, which are not recognized, owing to their having allowed themselves to become mixed up with politics, or having ceased to require a belief in the Supreme Being as a necessary qualification for membership.” Therefore, any Grand Lodge that does not adhere to these fundamental principles is likely to be unrecognized by UGLE.
