Which Grand Lodges are not recognized by UGLE?
The United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) does not recognize several Grand Lodges, particularly those that have deviated from its established principles. Specifically, UGLE does not recognize Grand Lodges that have allowed themselves to become mixed up with politics or have ceased to require a belief in a Supreme Being as a necessary qualification for membership. This includes various bodies on the Continent and in some Latin-American countries. UGLE maintains that no Masonic communication may be held with members of such organizations by genuine Masons.
