- What's the point of contemporary Freemasonry? They are not in any way similar nor have retained anything of the true and ancient Freemasonry?

The real and Ancient Freemasonry was about teaching the art of transmutation and complete knowledge of oneself. The tools were symbolic of self study and transmutation. Moreover, the initiation and the degree rituals required the candidate to be supremely fit and strong as they were extremely difficult and dangerous. What was the time in history when the Freemasonry lost all it's true essence and teachings?
