His Highness Sir Ibrahim, Sultan of Johore, was raised to the degree of Master Mason in 1920, serving as Senior Warden later that year and as Worshipful Master the following year. The membership of his lodge in Craft Masonry also included other prominent royal figures from the region, specifically Crown Prince Ismail, Prince Abu Bakar, and Prince Ahmed. In addition, Sir Charles Warren, widely recognized as the Charter Master of Quatuor Coronati Lodge of Research in London, served as District Grand Master of the District Grand Lodge of the Eastern Archipelago, which oversaw the lodges operating in Malaya and the surrounding territories.
