Orthodoxe christenen zeggen. Vrijmetselaren doen niet aan dogma's, maar is dat ook niet een dogma? Wat vind jij?
Freemasonry's stance on dogma varies among its commentators and across its bodies. In the Craft, Waite identifies two immutable dogmas: belief in God and the immortality of the soul, noting that denying them debars a candidate from initiation. Mackey, however, holds that the fraternity possesses no theology, espouses no specific religious doctrines, and refrains from expounding a doctrine of God in its rituals or Grand Lodge declarations. Under this view, the Craft demands only a basic belief in a Supreme Being and the presence of a Volume of the Sacred Law on the altar, leaving personal theological convictions entirely to the individual.
