Why are their different rites eg. York , scottish in freemasonary?
The emergence of distinct Masonic rites arose primarily as diverse external methods for achieving the same central purpose: the acquisition of divine truth through Masonic light. While fundamental Masonic doctrine remains the same everywhere, the ritual ceremonies, administrative structures, and degree sequences developed differently across regions, jurisdictions, and historical eras.

What is Memphis Misraim?
The Rite of Memphis—also known in reduced or reorganized forms as the Ancient and Primitive Rite—is a high-degree Masonic system created in the early nineteenth century by Jean Étienne Marconis de Négre. Built upon the foundation of the three symbolic degrees of Craft Masonry, the system expanded to ninety-five degrees divided into three series, though other historical reorganizations structured it into ninety-six or ninety-seven degrees. According to its official journal, The Kneph, the Rite declared itself open to any Master Mason in good standing under a constitutional Grand Lodge who professed belief in the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man.

What is the opinion on Rite of Memphis y Mizraím?
Arthur Edward Waite offered a severe condemnation of the Ancient and Primitive Rite, describing it as characterized by shallow metaphysical principles and outright mendacity. Waite criticized the historical claims presented in the Rite's ritual instruction—such as attributing its origin to the plains of Tartary, tracing its lineage through Dionysian Artificers and the Essenes, and asserting that its ark preserved secrets directly from the temples of Thebes and Eleusis—as manufactured history, concluding that the system was primarily "a study in the whole art of lying".
